Set on a stunning mountain top with a staggering 380 acres, Camp Timber Lake West has countless state-of-the-art facilities and acres upon acres of stunning natural landscape. The camp’s facilities include a 15-acre spring water lake, 2 soccer fields, 5 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts, 2 baseball fields, a skate park, a go-kart track and so much more.
The camp works in two 4-week sessions for kids aged 8-12 typically from the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Tri-State area. It is a co-ed camp with zero religious affiliation that takes the coaching and caring of its campers incredibly seriously.
With New York City just a two-hour car journey from Camp Timber Lake West’s grounds, there is no better place to travel after your working summer is complete. It is also 4 hours from Boston and a short flight from Toronto, Canada.

Each member of staff at Camp Timber Lake West takes the job of coaching, mentoring, and caring for campers extremely seriously. To do this, staff members are expected to put the needs of the campers above their own. It does matter whether you are a general counsellor or a specialist staff member, the expectation remains the same. This helps to ensure that every camper who spends their summer at camp has the best possible experience.
Camp days are long with staff members expected to start their first activity at 7:45 am and oversee 6 activities throughout the day before finishing their evening activity at 9:15 pm. Because of these long hours, camps are looking for hardworking and dedicated individuals who have a work ethic like no other. While days are long and at times challenging, you will be overseeing, teaching and taking part in many exciting activities with campers.
