The camp has been open to youngsters for over 75 years and in that time has helped countless children and families make summer memories that they will forever cherish. The 385-acre campsite is just a two-and-a-half-hour Northwest of New York City and features a stunning private lake and endless state-of-the-art facilities.
During the day, boy and girl campers will be split up to participate in separate activities before joining together for a wholesome evening meal. The campers are split up and put with different camp staff based on both age and interest to ensure that all campers are with groups of like-minded individuals. This allows campers to build stronger relationships and create a much more friendly and comfortable environment.
The camp prides itself on offering campers a structured and vibrant sleep-away programme with an extensive and unique variety of activities on offer. Because of this, Camp Starlight is looking for specialist staff members and general camp counsellors who share the same values and work ethic that the camp demands.
Despite being only a 2hr 30-minute journey from the concrete jungle of New York City, the location of Camp Starlight is beautifully nested amongst the mountainous landscape of North East Pennsylvania. The location allows campers and camp staff to wake up every morning and be greeted by the stunning landscape around them.
Located on a vast 385 acres of land the activities to take part in and adventures to be had at Camp Starlight are endless. The huge campground also features its very own private lake which allows campers to swim and take part in incredible watersport activities.
Camp Starlight features a huge number of state-of-the-art facilities that are home to many of the activities the camp offers. Baseball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, broadcasting centres, photo studios, and climbing walls are just a few of the many amazing facilities on offer to campers and staff members.
The camp is a traditional brother/sister camp programme. This allows siblings to see each other and spend time together over the summer while not living on the same campus. This helps the campers to grow their independence skills while also having the comfort that a sibling brings available to them.
