Camps Chipinaw & Silver Lake are neighbouring ACA-accredited sleepaway summer camps which are located on a single plot of land in the stunning Catskill Mountains. Camp Chipinaw has been in New York since it was founded in 1926, and Silver Lake was subsequently added to the campsite in 2004.
The two camps are located on an enormous 300-acre plot of land which is nestled amongst the stunning mountainous and woodland landscape of the Catskill Mountain Region. Located on the camp are countless incredible facilities that are used every day by the camp to host the activities, classes, and workshops that they offer.
The camp follows a very traditional programme committed to helping campers learn the value of teamwork, gain new skills, take risks, and explore their interest all while making incredible memories and lifelong friendships. The campo also makes sure that campers can explore their independence while being surrounded by supportive and professional staff members.
The camp is located just 2 hours north of the amazing New York City. Therefore the Big Apple is a must-visit when you are on your travels after your camp contract has finished. Due to the closeness of the camp, many staff members will have New York on their travel tick list.

The huge camp grounds are not just filled with natural beauty, they also feature countless state-of-the-art facilities that are home to the many activities, classes, and workshops the camp offers. These facilities include multiple sports fields, gymnasiums, waterfront areas, adventure courses, and so much more.
While Camp Silver Lake was only opened in 2004, Camp Chipinaw has been ingrained in the local community since 1926. This means that for over 98 years the camp has been providing campers from all across the county with incredible summer camp experiences.
