Founded in 1935, Agassiz Village is a non-profit ACA-accredited summer camp for under-served children aged 8-17. The camp creates a safe and controlled environment where campers are challenged to discover new interests, make incredible friendships, and uncover new skills.
The Agassiz Village summer camp is located on a picturesque 320-acre plot of land on the incredible shoreline of Thompson Lake, Maine. This vast campsite is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and decorated with incredible natural beauty in the form of incredible woodlands, grassy fields, and lakeside access.
Agassiz Village’s camp program offers kids from under-resourced neighbourhoods a safe and fun overnight summer camp experience. Throughout the summer, campers take part in a wide variety of activities, classes, and workshops which are designed to help campers develop leadership skills, find new interests, and learn valuable life skills.
Agassiz Village’s campsite is located on the banks of the incredible Thompson Lake in Poland, Maine. This lakeside location and direct lake access allow campers to take part in a huge amount of waterfront activities throughout the summer.
The campsite of Agassiz Village is located on an enormous 320-acre plot of land which is decorated with natural beauty. This provides campers and camp staff with the perfect backdrop for their summer camp experience.
Campers and camp staff have access to a huge number of incredible facilities at camp. These on-site facilities include a huge dining hall, 18 comfortable housing cabins, health centres, arts centres and so many more.
Agassiz Village has been serving children from underprivileged communities since it opened in 1935. This means that the camp has 90 years of experience providing young campers aged 8-17 with summers full of friendships and memories.
The under-served community program that Agassiz Village is so proud of has helped over 50,000 children from underserved communities have summers full of fun, learning, friendships, and development.
