Traditional Camps

There are many different types of camp to choose from, all of which offer many of the same core activities but some of them specialise in certain areas. It would take you weeks to work your way through all that a traditional camp has to offer. Most of them will be co-ed with guys and gals enjoying the activities together. The cabins are always single sex and come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.

Traditional camp is for those who want to get stuck into as many different activities as they can manage. If you get to camp and decide you want to spend most of your time down by the lake becoming a wake boarding pro then that’s up to you, although you will be encouraged to try new things such as mountain boarding or trapeze skills. The most important thing to remember is that the choice is yours and from the moment you arrive until the time you board the bus to go home, you will have a blast!

A typical day will start around 8am, followed by breakfast, and then its straight into three morning activities that you have already signed up for with your friends. Break for Lunch and then it’s back to the fun for another three activities in the afternoon. Come evening its shower time, dinner and then evening activity which could take the form of an all camp dance or to watch a live stunt show! Bedtime varies on your age but, by the time it gets to 10pm, you are going to want to get some rest for the next day.

WHAT CAN I DO TODAY?

How about: water-ski, high ropes course, trapeze, audition for the show, join a band, get messy in pottery, beat your bunk mates at tennis, show the Americans how to REALLY play football, jump on a horse, paintball your counsellor, quad bike up the mountain then bike or board down, hang out at the skate park, do some roller hockey, shoot some hoops, shoot some arrows, get wet and wild in the pool, go hiking, camping or why not just start at the top, take a deep breath and do EVERYTHING!

FUN COMPETITION

Every few weeks, there will most likely be an all camp competition that runs for a few days. If you don’t mind a little competition, then Olympics, Colour War or College Daze will be right up your street. Remember that all the activities are run by experienced staff that are certified in first aid and are there to make sure you get the most out of everything that you do. If you’d like to learn more about one of our traditional camps, get in touch and let us help you choose the best match for you.
