Activities

There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes!

A positive and creative environment - teens will make some fantastic new friends both with their fellow campers and the staff. We will endeavour to cater for all abilities and all children will hopefully leave the camp having achieved certificates in first aid and CPR, as well as at least two main skill sections such as canoeing or mountaineering.

During each two week session, every camper will be given the opportunity to spend six full days specialising in two particular activities of their choice. After you have trialled your top four, you will then select two areas within which you will endeavour to attain a quantifiable level of proficiency. These areas all tend to be high adventure and incredibly exciting, more information on which can be found on the Courses page.

Evening activities are different every night and will offer an opportunity for a little competition, group time and a little light entertainment. To name just a few, there is a dance night, movie night, live music, a talent show and various specialised entertainers that will visit us during the summer. (We are so popular we actually have to turn stars away, Britney was devastated!).

In addition to your regular daily activity schedule, we will also have one full day trip to the capital of the Highlands, Inverness. Campers will get the opportunity to stock up on supplies for a few hours before a boat tour of Loch Ness and finally, an all camp paint ball competition at a specialised site.

On one of the few days where you are not working on your skill choices or are off camp, the entire camp will participate in a full-on adventure challenge. These challenges will be set by our adventure instructors and could range from an extreme Gorge walk to a hike to some of the highest peaks in the national park. (Be nice to them and they may even let you have a lie in!).

Every day will have a structure to it and although you must fill your day, it is up to you which activities you choose. On the non-skill days, we will run classes in a multitude of other activities. Rocketry, horse riding, volleyball, football, rugby, netball, dance, clay pigeon shooting, arts and crafts, quad biking, computing and fly fishing, to name but a few.

The last two days of each session will be consumed by an all camp competition where staff and campers alike will put their new found skills to the test in our "Clan Battles". Teams will compete in a series of team challenges including rafting, sailing and orienteering as they compete to be the most dominant Clan of the summer!
