Adventure Camp Instructor Jobs

To work in an Adventure role at camp you do not need to be Ray Mear’s best pal -adventure positions come in a variety of guises and it is important to stress that nearly all of our camps will put you through extensive training prior to the arrival of the campers.
You do however need to hold some degree of ability and experience to be offered an adventure role in the first place. (If you don’t have any, go get some!).
Adventure roles can be any of the following: camping staff, climbing instructors for high and low ropes courses, canoe and kayak instructors, nature and ecology counsellor, photography, archery instructors, go-carts and dune buggies, rocketry, hiking, mounting biking, trail blazers, paint ball, etc etc.
Meet Sam, Sam is the equivalent of the summer camp Tarzan. His video is brief but it is important to note that he mentions’ the various aspect of his job. It is not simply about zip lines and trees.

Next up is Henrietta who works in the nature department on her camp. Nature and ecology is actually one of the most popular activities at camp and the more enthusiastic you can be about your bugs and beasties, the better the children will respond to what you are endeavouring to teach them.

You do not need to provide evidence of formal training, although if you have it, we would love to see it. The vast majority of folk placed in these roles are those who have a real interest in one particular area as a hobby. Practical experience far outweighs any formal qualifications. The more detailed you can make your application, the better your chances. If you can upload a few pictures of you in action, that will help you massively.
If you make an excellent effort and we think we can help you, we will discuss your options and once we are all on the same page, we will get you chatting with actual camp owners. We will also require that you pay the first £100 of your program fees to show us and the camp that you are serious about the program. (This amount is fully refundable so long we have not introduced you to a camp).
The camp director will get in touch and assuming you make a great impression, fingers crossed they will offer you a position for the summer.
On receipt of your contract and assuming you are happy with what you have been offered, we will start your visa application.
We have no registration fees and we will not encourage you in any particular direction unless we feel there is a really strong chance of you being successful.
Our total program fees are just £365 and you only need to pay these once you are placed at a camp. The program fee covers your visa forms, your medical insurance, help and support in the UK, and of course a 24hr help line while you are in America should you ever get stuck.
To apply, please fill in your free staff application and let the summer camp adventures begin.
